The hotly awaited HTC One X has its first press image leaked days before MWC. Now we can finally see the Taiwanese 720p LCD droid face to face in clear view.

As you can see, those icons have lost of real estate all to themselves on the One X’s 4.7-inch 720p LCD screen, which will run HTC’s refreshed Sense 4.0 UI skin on top of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Seems like HTC isn’t ready to ditch the capacitive hardware buttons in favor of the virtual ICS ones. If you are curious about how HTC Sense UI 4.0 will look like, go have a look.
There are still three days left until HTC officially announces the One X. Currently, besides the 4.7-inch screen, it’s pretty much certain the One X will feature a Tegra (3) 4-PLUS-1 chipset, 1GB of RAM and an 8MP camera at the back.
Stay tuned for our in-depth coverage of everything MWC 2012 and especially our hands-on of the HTC One X.

Google is reported to be working on a pair of glasses that will eliminate the need for users to constantly whip out their phones for fragmented pieces of information at a time. According to the New York Times, Google is working on a pair of glasses that will stream information to a user’s eyes in real time. The glasses will go on sale towards the end of this year, say people who are familiar with the matter. The glasses will be Android-based (of course), will have 3G and Wi-Fi capabilities, motion sensors and GPS, a low resolution built-in camera, will utilize augmented reality and will be able to send data to the cloud. The glasses will also utilize Google services, like Latitude, Maps and appropriately, Goggles.
The glasses are rumoured to cost like a smartphone would, so users can expect a price tag of anywhere from $250 (Rs.12,313.85 approx) to $600 (Rs.29,553.05). The navigation system that the glasses will use is said to work based on gestures of the user’s head. The user will tilt their head to scroll and click. The glasses are not designed to be worn constantly, but it can be surmised that ‘nerds’ will sport the glasses quite frequently. Google acknowledges that there might be privacy issues with an in-built camera. If the glasses wearing individual is clicking another person, that person should have a way of knowing they’re being photographed. Google is reportedly working on a way around that.
The camera will be able to take pictures, add information, including location information to the pictures taken, work with Google Goggles to deliver information to the user on what is being looked at and also deliver information on surrounding buildings and friends. The glasses are being developed at Google’s X offices, which are near its main headquarters in California. The X offices are filled with futuristic projects that Google is working on, including robots and space elevators.

Director Ashwini Chaudhary’s ‘Jodi Breakers’ cast also has Omi Vaidya, Dipannita Sharma, Mrinalini Sharma, Milind Soman and Kay Kay Menon. A production venture of Prasar Visions Pvt Ltd, the film will release on 1,200 screens.
The film’s story takes a dig at dysfunctional romantic relationships that eventually leads to break ups. Sid (Madhavan) is a break up specialist, who helps incompatible people get out of wrong relationships. He meets Sonali and both of them take the business to new levels. Their journey together takes them through hilarious and outrageous experiences. But an unexpected twist in a case turns their world upside down and they end up falling in love.
The film has been shot in exotic locales of Greece, Goa and Mumbai. And Bipasha admits she had to chase the script of the film.
“This (‘Jodi Breakers’) is a very interesting film and there is a story to it. Two years back I had read a very interesting script and then I got busy. This was the script that I had read!” she said.

“Two years later I woke up one afternoon and I called my manager to ask where is that script? So, we traced the script. This is the first time that I ever got to chase a script,” she added.
Bipasha had also recommended Madhavan for the film. Legal hassles before the release of any film seems to have become a trend, and ‘Jodi Breakers’ is not an exception.
The film was embroiled in a plagiarism controversy when the distributors of Hollywood film ‘Heartbreakers’ revealed their doubts about the originality of the content in ‘Jodi Breakers’.
But ‘Jodi Breakers’ makers denied it and offered to let the ‘Heartbreakers’ team read the entire script, provided they agree to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA). However, the issues were later sorted out.
The film was previously titled ‘Shaadi Fast Forward’, but the name was later changed to ‘Jodi Breakers’. The soundtrack of the film is composed by Salim-Sulaiman and is already making waves. There is also a special song dedicated only to Bipasha in the film.
‘Jodi Breakers’ is a crucial film for Madhavan as well as Bipasha. Expectations are riding high after Madhavan’s last release ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ raked in moolah at the box office, while Bipasha’s ‘Players’ failed to impress the audience.

“The morning of today arose with deep thought and contemplation on the morning before. In the midst of intense discussions between the medical team and the family, there seemed to be an opinion arriving that perhaps another surgery was avoidable and that some of the blood reports which had reached alarming levels were beginning to show signs of improvement,” Big B posted on his blog Saturday.
“Oblivious to all these there was a desire to walk and move more than would be described as comfortable in prevailing circumstances, but the insistence of those that move about with slung stethoscopes about their necks was difficult to ignore and so a few gentle dragging steps, with the rod carrying the drips followed along a few feet around the bed,” he added.
The 69-year-old underwent abdominal surgeries Feb 11 at the Seven Hills Hospital. He was to be discharged Feb 13, but new complications forced doctors to keep him under observation.
A source told IANS that he is likely to spend some more days in the hospital.
Big B, who has been confined to bed due to his health problems for more than a week, says that it is important to move limbs.
“It is a wonder that many do not recognize or show awareness of, that unmoved, the body remains a well packaged box of freshly bought plasticine (a brand of modelling clay) – fine and colourful to look at, and perhaps not disturbed, but pulled out, moulds itself according to our desire into many shapes.
“Unless you mould it the plasticine is plain and inert. So does the body if kept silent and unmoved. The fingers and the hand are the most vulnerable. Stop using them or moving them and they stay stopped. Stiff and stuck in the position you last left them.
“So as mobility takes over, status of the organs begins to get involved and improved. The organs’ involvement is music for the ears of the team, which guides and monitors,” he wrote.
The megastar’s health problems are related to his almost fatal accident in 1982 on the sets of the ‘Coolie’. After that the actor, who ruled the Hindi film industry for decades post the success of 1973-action movie ‘Zanjeer’, has been battling with health problems.
This is his third trip to the hospital since 2005.

The charm of handspun saris like the benarasi, kanjeevaram and chanderi has almost faded, but designers like Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Ritu Kumar feel that actresses – Vidya Balan in particular – can play a key role in reviving the traditional Indian six-yard wonder.

While most B-town actresses step out in gowns, designer dresses and even saris made of net, georgette and chiffon, Vidya flaunts ethnic weaves and fabrics, helping her stand out.
“I think there are just a few actresses who are trying kanjeevaram saris and the list includes Vidya Balan, Rekha and some veterans. I want young girls to understand that dignity makes them better stars rather than exposing their body,” Mukherjee, whose creations are dominated by ethnic Indian weaves, told IANS.
He feels Vidya’s newfound fame can single-handedly bring hand-woven saris back in vogue.
“I feel proud that Vidya chooses my creations for most of her events. Keeping her success rate in mind, I’m sure she will bring back the hand-woven sari era. For me, Western wear is not a sustainable market as it lacks mass appeal because most Indian girls are voluminous. Western clothes are good for a multiplex audience, not for a simple Indian girl. It’s time to make pan-India clothes,” he said.

Back in October, Sony had announced that it will be purchasing Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson’s 50 percent stake in the Sony Ericsson joint venture for €1.05 billion, turning it into a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony. And although the deal was supposed to finalize in January, it took a bit longer than that but the process is finally complete.

Starting today, Sony Ericsson will be officially known as Sony Mobile Communications. Every new phone launched from the company will bear only Sony’s name, and we have seen a couple of them already. However, the existing range of devices out in the market will continue to bear the Sony Ericsson name.

A man of few words, Prateik is a natural actor thanks to his legacy, but the 25-year-old says acting is such a vast subject that he can’t learn every nuance even if he gets to spend decades in front of the camera.

“I am enjoying it. Yes, I am comfortable, as I said I take time to open up. Coming to terms with it, I am enjoying,” said Prateik, the son of Raj Babbar and the late Smita Patil.
With each day he learns something new, but he feels it’s impossible to absorb the vastness of the subject. “I don’t think I will understand each and everything even if I reach (Amitabh) Bachchan’s age. There are so many things to learn.”
The youngster is gearing up for his first full-fledged romantic film ‘Ekk Deewana Tha’, the remake of a Tamil and Telugu film, and says he was so blown away by the southern versions that he couldn’t refuse the offer.
“I got a call from director Gautham Menon. He said ‘I am making a remake of my Tamil and Telugu film and I want you to watch those films and let me know if you want to do it or not’. I watched the films and I was completely blown away by the film, story, screenplay, character and the romance between the boy and girl. So I immediately said yes.”
“I didn’t think too much because I was so blown away when I came out of the movies. I was so taken aback by the story and the simplicity of the romance that I wanted to that. Gradually, I stared working the character.”
However, some changes were made in the Hindi remake, keeping audience sensibilities in mind.
“The only change is the ending. Tamil had a sad ending; Telugu had a happy ending. This is a secret. It’s a pretty much frame-to-frame copy though. But I think I had to bring my own instincts and pull my own style. So, I had to bring in my own,” he said.
Being the son of Smita Patil, directors expect a lot from Prateik. But the actor says he would have given his best even if he did not have such a legacy.
“May be they do, I don’t know if this is an advantage. I don’t know whether there’s pressure on me. I mean whether I was her son or not I would want to give my 200 percent. I do make an effort to give my best,” he said.
Audiences loved him in ‘Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na’ and ‘Dhobi Ghat’, but when he turned up as the protagonist in ‘My Friend Pinto’, it didn’t get the same overwhelming response and the film bombed at the box office.
“I don’t regret the films I chose; I regret what happened to my film ‘My Friend Pinto’. I expected more from it, but it wasn’t marketed as much as it should have been. I was disappointed on that.”
While speculation about Prateik’s off-screen relationship with his co-star Amy Jackson has been making the rounds, he clarifies saying, “We are extremely close and fond of each other, but we are not in a relationship.”

“There were some medical procedures today as well for — and this is being disclosed to the Ef (extended family) at this point of time — a surgery that I shall be undergoing on the 11th morning. I do not wish to talk much on my medical condition, but trust and faith in my FmXt (extended family) allows me to do so,” Amitabh wrote on his blog.
“The surgery they say is not too complicated, but then all doctors say the same as you end up on the operating table, and before long the details and the subsequent anxieties begin to rise.
“There has been a dosage of injections intravenous that began today and shall continue for a few days… a pain in the abdomen has to be investigated tomorrow under a CT Scan and then and only then shall the ok for the surgery be given… so the next few weeks shall be full of nothing else but the hospital and medical bulletins… boring it may be but it shall be as informative as possible,” Amitabh posted.

The 69-year-old has been battling with health issues for long and wishes to have an ailment-free life, but says he is grateful that he is still going strong.
“My stomach which has already been the bed of many complicated battles in the past, shall have to entertain this as well. It’s a war zone, my body, and one which has been through a great deal and still does,” he wrote.
“I sometimes lament the fact that I do not have the benefit of a complete and ailment free body structure, and I wonder how wonderful it would be to be normal again. But this was my fate and I shall accept it with a smile.
“I just feel blessed that despite all the encumbrances the Almighty gave me the courage to keep going has been undiluted. That courage, wrapped as it were, in the love and prayers of well wishers has pulled me through on several occasions and on this one too I solicit similar,” he added.

“I went to her shooting. We tried to reason it out with her. But she refused to even listen. Forget about anything else, she did not even apologise for her action. She seems to have no remorse”, Taurani said in a statement.
The filmmaker says he is facing such crisis for the first time.
“I have been part of the Hindi cinema industry for 25 years. I have made several blockbusters. But I have never faced a situation like this before. Our directors and other actors are extremely annoyed with her,” Taurani said in a statement.
“Tips as a company in its last 25 years has never had a dispute with anyone. There is no single case in the association which involves us, it will be very sad and uncalled for if the matter goes to that level,” he added.

The actress, who had shot for a week for the film, is said to have backed out after being approached for a Hollywood project. Taurani was left fuming after learning that he was among the last to know about her decision.
“On January 27 people kept calling me asking whether Deepika was out of ‘Race 2′. I was clueless. I called her and asked her. She simply said that she would come to my office by 5 p.m. with her new manager to work out everything. At around 3 p.m., she called to say that she wouldn’t be able to keep the appointment. However, her manager would be present on her behalf,” said Taurani.
“Finally, when the manager arrived, he simply told me that Deepika wouldn’t be able to do our film. And that’s because she is doing a major Hollywood project,” he added.
Earlier, Sonakshi Sinha had walked out of the multi-starrer film and was replaced by Jacqueline Fernandez. The star cast of the film also includes Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Anil Kapoor and Ameesha Patel.
